sypt has been extremely productive these few days :D :D :D and we have nice data :D yayyyyyy. and i actually don't feel that bad having to go back to school everyday to do work, cos it's very very productive :D even cat agrees. teehee.
had my first violin lesson in ages, was pretty good :D learnt quite a lot, well that's partly cos i only practised on my own for such a long time, so if something is off, it's off for quite some time. heh.
I HATE THE RAIN AND THE COLD WEATHER. have been sick since like 2 weeks ago, and still am.

long rambly post.
a lot happened this week, and i feel really drained after this week of torture.
graduation assembly was last friday. so we have officially graduated from this silly school that only bothers about OM. feels very strange to be "school-less" now. the assembly was good, jess' item was very good, and the swimmy thing was the one good thing about principal's address. everyone got super high during the finale (while a certain cat was kicking people). went back to class and had so much food in class, and started camwhoring after a while (yes people i have yet to upload a lot of photos, will do them tmr or something) did a lot of silly things in class (actually it should be i caught a lot of people doing silly stuff on my camera. mwahahaha. siyi occupies a large space in that category of people doing silly things) and of course we went prancing around the rooftop, feeling free and happy :D on the other hand, the days of being kings of the land are kind of numbered; when we get to jc we will be nobody :/ fell sick on the wednesday before graduation and now i am still sick. oh and after graduation, i got locked outside my house cos mum wasn't at home. went frolicking around bishan library to waste some time.
saturday was that silly sypt training. morning was fine, and very easily understandable, cos we have all learnt differentiation and integration. wonder how to sec 3s will churn out something like that. but then again, that's not something i should be bothered about when my own report is not looking very good. rushed back for half an hour of math, only to be disturbed by 2 silly phone calls that weren't even remotely urgent. the afternoon was spent wondering if i should have turned up for YO, and eventually not doing so. learning how to use excel was extremely boring, so we decided to fool around with paint and drew meng's mascot. the talk ended more than an hour late, and by the time i reached home, it was already close to 7. well at least we know we have to change our entire experiment.
sunday and monday was spent mugging chinese, and some physics. wasn't exactly highly productive, considering i slept in both afternoons. and procrastinated while studying for chinese. tuesday's chinese paper was fine. rather easy. zuo wen topics were so easy, except that i chose not to memorise ding hui's essay, which makes the difference between a 52 and a 56+ even the other 2 topics were easy too. shi yong wen was doable, except that it was kind of long, since we once did a zuo wen on that topic, resulting in me being long winded for a gong han. paper 2 was fine, and for once my zong he tian kong is not that epic fail. okay so chinese is probably an A1, yayyy, no more silly 4 hr papers in jc :D
immediately after chinese i was a sad kid, cos i couldn't go for class party and neither could i go out and celebrate. RA tests were really annoying. mugged physics, and ended up sleeping at 2+ D: how i wish i was more hardworking during the rest of the year, which just means that i don't have to ling shi bao fuo jiao. but at least i was constructive. continued mugging in school the next day, with becky lee. reached rj and started screaming to siyi and junyu about gpa and related stuff. then counted the number of people taking physics RA, it is actually more than math. when mengshi arrived, we promptly started panicking, upon counting the number of people we can't beat from ri. took the paper only to realise that i large bulk of what i mugged wasn't tested and i forgot some stuff that were tested :/ and i didn't do the last qn cos i was being silly and constantly thought about stuff in the y-component. omg 7 marks wasted on an easy qn. dieeeee. then after the paper, went to eat with meng at j8, only to be interrupted by cat's constant claims of wanting to be a nun.
went home and wanted to mug math, only to fall asleep. started mugging only at 8, and of course ended late at 2+, but at least i don't have to get up so early the next day since the paper is at rj. once again, mugged a lot but most weren't tested. and there was only one qn on matrices. cheat my feelings. but the paper wasn't exactly well done either. couldn't do 18 19 20, so i submitted partials for all 3. and then i couldn't do the trick qn, so math is pretty bad. could have done a lot better if i was more conscientious last year. went back to rulang to get interviewed/filmed after the math paper for their speech day and anniversary celebrations. met almost all my teachers, and the only one i didn't manage to see was mrs chan :( she left just before we went to find her. a lot of teachers still remember me :D (but ms foo couldn't remember jiahuang, so he felt it was disappointing) primary school feels extremely detached now, and everyone there is small and tiny. teachers wanted us to go for anniversary dinner next year, don't feel like going but i guess i still have to? still need to drag more people to come with me. eh.
friday morning was spent idling around in the lab, conveniently running away from arts fest day programme. spent the time playing cards, talking rubbish, and restarting experiments, only to fail again. in the meantime, we witnessed xiaoxu cry at least 10 times. she cried for almost every single kind of teeny weeny problem she can possibly face. and not like they are big problems or something. you just need to stand up, stop relying on other people, and think. most of them can be easily solved, followed mr yang to buy magnets after that, only to realise that we are only given 20 bucks per team for the entire of sypt. bloody hell. so much for nurturing talents and promoting excellence amongst students. and what can you do with 20 dollars. almost nothing. got damn pissed off after that, cos our school is just not being supportive enough. the only thing they can be bothered about is how rgs looks like from outside, while the girls' welfare is not properly taken care of. finished the magnet experiment after we went back to school and then went for dinner before going for arts fest with meng.
the way to arts fest was extremely hilarious. waiting for 171 is a torture. we waited for like 20 mins. and in meng's words, we had to "cannonball our way through" in order to get onto the bus. and then when we had to change to 151, we saw 151 driving in front of us. we obviously weren't very delighted with that, so we hoped that we can catch up with it. originally there were 4 cars in between the 2 buses, and then after a while it became 8. i got worried, so i pointed to 151 and told the bus driver "we are chasing that bus". he immediately went faster, and we managed to catch the bus, after some running. heh. nice and friendly bus driver (i insist it's a he, while meng thinks it's a she) and while on 151, we had good news that junyu was late too, so it wasn't that bad. and actually in the end we were just on time for the show :D show was good :D i didn't expect RGS CCAs to be so together and appealing. but well done anyway. the CCA items were good, except that they got kind of draggy towards the end.
intermission was hilarious. once we went out of the hall, me and meng immediately embarked on a mission to get water. PSB people wanted to cheat our money and asked us to buy water instead. and at that point of time, we saw whyz, and mengshi immediately started laughing (while pointing at them) and conveniently ignored the PSB person who was trying to swindle us. had to drag that mad woman away or she would be laughing for like 10 mins. finally found the water cooler with some help from ucc staff, and saw ms lim, who was disappointed with me turning up in school u (not my fault, sypt more impt than looking more glamorous during arts fest) 2nd half was kind of bad. musical was sooooooo draggy, i was falling asleep. and i hated the theme of the musical: "every rgs girl should get a good boyfriend, get hitched, get married and end of story" why the hell does every character in that musical has a bf/husband?! it just isn't what they should be promoting in the school. what about independence? excellence? and the musical took so long to finish and by the time i got home, it was close to 1130. bloody hell. and i am annoyed that the school can spend so much money on something like arts fest, and yet only give us 20 dollars per team for sypt. the siow lee chin concert is another one of those many instances the school is only bothered about its image and not how the girls are treated in the school. that's why i really hate the way school is run now, we are like the most insignificant people to them.
which brings me to my point about CCAs being closed down. math soc, scitare, lyfe, robotics (maybe), track are closing down. chess and weiqi are merging, infocomm and avpa are merging, and many others may close down. so much for variety and diversity in the school, and now they didnt even inform us before they made the decision, which makes it very annoying cos we students are the largest stakeholders in this and yet they are totally overlooking us. what kind of school is this? and there is almost no focus on math and science in school, and that is why talented girls who do very well in primary school just die once they get into RGS, they simply have no environment to excel. they are not dumber than their male counterparts, they are just not given the opportunity to do what they want to their fullest. we have potential but we are not given the chance the realise our potential. so much for excellence.

which brings me to my point about CCAs being closed down. math soc, scitare, lyfe, robotics (maybe), track are closing down. chess and weiqi are merging, infocomm and avpa are merging, and many others may close down. so much for variety and diversity in the school, and now they didnt even inform us before they made the decision, which makes it very annoying cos we students are the largest stakeholders in this and yet they are totally overlooking us. what kind of school is this? and there is almost no focus on math and science in school, and that is why talented girls who do very well in primary school just die once they get into RGS, they simply have no environment to excel. they are not dumber than their male counterparts, they are just not given the opportunity to do what they want to their fullest. we have potential but we are not given the chance the realise our potential. so much for excellence.
didn't go for training today cos i was almost sick again. woke up at 7, unable to hear myself when i speak. parents asked me to go back to sleep and so i missed training. rehearsal was bad, got pushed to 3rd desk for no apparent reason, and now i am stuck in a place where i shouldn't be. how great. wanted to rant here, but now i think i shouldn't do so cos there are still many stalkers here. but i really don't want to be sitting where i am now, and i don't think i should be sitting there. sigh. life is tough. and fangying is suffering from a lack of sleep. shall go sleep now and catch up on my sleep debt. lalalalalalalala

fangying is sick :( what a bad time to get sick. the whole world is getting sick, even cat is sick. bloody hell, i am annoyed at a certain school who has the whole world to help them with sypt. and what do we have? 3 people who are going to be cut down to 2 very soon. sigh, and RA tests are not sorting themselves out.

fangying is feeling bored and does not want to cook herself near water bodies of 100 degrees celcius. and consequently, she is being a bad girl, and is blogging in school. cat was being silly.
anyway, i am highly annoyed at the school now, everyday make us go back for useless stuff. and they still hate us :/ chinese is epic failing. the more i talk to people about chinese, the more worried i get. and if i get like A2 i think i am going to jump down the building. alright maybe i won't, but then i will need to retake chinese and then waste a lot of time doing another 4 hr long paper. which essentially means that i need to start mugging soon. but everytime i look at those 又长又臭 chinese papers, i just feel like dying :/ omg. then everytime i do chinese, i fall asleep halfway. actually not like all these last minute mugging actually helps to bump up your score. it only makes you feel more secure. ahhhhh cat is talking non-stop.
and RA tests are not sorting itself out. if i don't get into math RA, i will also jump down the building. and if i don't get into physics RA, i will just cry at home. actually this threat is very real (am reminded of that silly MRT video about terrorists), and i might just epic fail and not get into anything. fangying feels extremely depressed and insecure. and all the rj talks are making me worried about taking econs. and whether i will get like E or something.

okay both of them are doing work. i need to stop slacking. RI teams are extremely hardworking. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. fangying wants to scream.

haven't updated for a long while. let's backdate and see how much i can remember.
last week went fine, except that i had an aweful lack of sleep, all thanks to RA sem and math pt :/ ss options presentation was :/ cos i was being extremely naggy and long-winded. we overshot 10 mins, by quite a lot actually. oops. and then YO resumed (JUST THE DAY BEFORE MATH PT AND RA SEM D:) YO is rather pathetic now, and i suspect v1 only has 6 stands. hmm. even cellos have more. RA sem was fine, except that very few people came to look at our booth, which is kind of expected cos everyone thinks physics is too hard or something. but overall it was good, and we managed to have some really cool stuff happening in the room :D thanks to tianran and guotian and cat for helping out :D rushed out the last bit of math RA pt after that, and went out for lunch with mengshi tianran and guotian to celebrate my bday. thanks :D went home after that, and decided to sleep. then it was the epic story of how fangying lacked a lot of sleep. basically i slept from 4+ to 2. and then 3 to730. thats like 14.5 hrs of sleep in one day. heh. woke up and decided to go for training, and rehearsal. went out for dinner for bday celebration :D food was good :D and fangying was happy :D
and before i forget, i need to thank all the people who wished me happy bday. now that it's so long ago, i can't rmb. wait let me recall. then after that i had to do a silly report for ss, and project for photonics. i didn't feel like doing anything (obviously) at least options is ending this week, actually it has ended, except that i still have to churn out a 1500 word essay. sigh. got back gpa ytd. on one hand i am glad that they moderated my chinese and now it's a 4.0, but on the other hand, i don't feel that they should give us easy papers + moderation + new gpa system all at one go. it just makes the entire thing about exams too worthless. ah wells, not like i can do anything about it. everyone's gpa is sky high now, like 3.94, and all the good classes in rj will be full of girls next year (not like everyone deserves it - i still don't see why someone with a 70+ average can get a 3.94, and it's not a high 70+) anyway, got back chinese mock papers, did so many silly things i want to cry. wrote qn number wronly for the shi yong wen, and then the content was directed at the wrong person :/ and did more silly stuff in the zuo wen and the paper, but at least chang wen suo duan was 18. at this rate i am going to fail o levels, and i don't want to retake chinese next year :/ okay must do more chinese, and somehow prepare for chinese.
got our class tees today :D it looks good :D and of course i like the design, shall wear it soon :D on another note, i am getting extremely worried about RA tests. like what if i can't even get in for math? and apparently there are pro guys who converted from bio to physics, which just means that more people are taking physics ra and more likely that i die. and physics test covers stuff like shm that we didnt even learn. sigh. and sypt is extremely fail. one day can only do one set of experiments :/ and i am very annoyed at the sec 3s who mess up the lab when they use it for experimentation. okay shall not talk about that now, or else i will just like start ranting all over again. okay i must not screw up o levels or math ra test or physics ra test. and talking about math ra, i got high D, and that's even if they count the old system :D :D :D yay :D and pt was 37, which could have been 39 had i not been so careless (runs away from mengshi or prepares to whack her before she whacks me) and math ra paper 3 was rather good, the only question i messed up was qn1. so overall > 85%. and our class has the most number of people > 85%. told mr ang today and he was so happy :D and of course we have the top scorer for math ra. heh. and maybe top for math too.

last week went fine, except that i had an aweful lack of sleep, all thanks to RA sem and math pt :/ ss options presentation was :/ cos i was being extremely naggy and long-winded. we overshot 10 mins, by quite a lot actually. oops. and then YO resumed (JUST THE DAY BEFORE MATH PT AND RA SEM D:) YO is rather pathetic now, and i suspect v1 only has 6 stands. hmm. even cellos have more. RA sem was fine, except that very few people came to look at our booth, which is kind of expected cos everyone thinks physics is too hard or something. but overall it was good, and we managed to have some really cool stuff happening in the room :D thanks to tianran and guotian and cat for helping out :D rushed out the last bit of math RA pt after that, and went out for lunch with mengshi tianran and guotian to celebrate my bday. thanks :D went home after that, and decided to sleep. then it was the epic story of how fangying lacked a lot of sleep. basically i slept from 4+ to 2. and then 3 to730. thats like 14.5 hrs of sleep in one day. heh. woke up and decided to go for training, and rehearsal. went out for dinner for bday celebration :D food was good :D and fangying was happy :D
and before i forget, i need to thank all the people who wished me happy bday. now that it's so long ago, i can't rmb. wait let me recall. i am so not looking forward to the coming week. at least i have monday off. tuesday will be spent doing ss presentation and not trying to fall asleep in mr angel's class. and math ra test. wednesday will be spent constructing the circuit for RA sem, as well as getting cooked in the hot and stuffy place. thursday there is philo presentation, and photonics, and after that i still need to set up the room for RA sem, and then there is still YO, and when i go home i still need to do math RA pt. i lead a sad sad life. on friday the pt is due, and there is RA sem, which might just turn out to be a disaster. and i might even need to get myself cooked in the lab again D: D: D:

finally got back all our papers. gpa is not looking very well, considering how high everyone scores just cos of the new gpa system. and even if they moderate 2 marks to chinese, i will end up with 79.2 -.- sigh. finally finished the ss options thingy, but it's kind of long, heh. there is still math RA paper next week, and it doesn't help that i still have no idea how to find surface area/volume/arc length. sypt is taking a hell lot of time. heating the water bath to 95 degrees takes up close to 2 hours. and we need like so much equipment the lab techs must be very angry. oh dear. and contrary to what cat has been reporting, ri team has started experimentation long time ago. this is not good. at least cai anni and friends have not started anything yet, and no i am not telling them anything that i am doing. the later they start, the better. oh and i missed _____ for sjpo by one mark :/ RA sem is next week, and i still have quite a lot of stuff not done, and i still have to go around collecting equipment, and buy black paper. i wonder if they will reimburse our expenses. and there is math RA PT D: we are so screwed D: ahhhhh okay at least there is 3-day holiday, must do more work.

i am getting increasingly annoyed at my parents, at my mum especially. i shall go on a ranting spree. that day after i got back my english papers, i was feeling happy, partly cos it was the highest compre score i have ever had, and partly cos english is finally a 3.6. and guess what was my dad's first reaction when i told him my score "but that's not 80%" hmph. and mum is also getting increasingly annoying. she originally agreed to let me have a bday party. now she came up with a list of reasons why i should not have one. it goes something like this: 1/ your sister is having her exams soon, thus you should not distract her from studying. (wth. her exams are like 3 weeks away and why the hell would i be disturbing her? i can just not have it at home.) 2/ you are actually very busy, so you should not waste more time. (bloody hell lar, i am busy with options, and who is so eager to do options? and so what if i do badly for options stuff?) 3/ the people might not turn up, so you might as well not have it. (this just doesnt make sense) 4/ you can just have it in school, go buy some stuff and eat together (firstly, the only place which you can eat in school is canteen, which totally sucks. and who only wants to eat, you can't even play cards in school) 5/ it's only your 16th birthday, i will help you organise a bday party when you are older (ehhhhhh next year i won't have one, cos who ever celebrates 17th bday?! and j2 i can't afford to have one cos As start right after my bday, and after that, i will be prolicking around uni, then what?) 6/ i don't know where to find a function room (she actually suggested i ask cat wong to help me rent a function room in her condo - btw, cat wong lives next to me) 7/ your sister needs to mug (yes this is the main reason why she doesn't want it) 8/ your sister cannot be distracted from mugging 9/ your sister is very busy, she has a lot of stuff to do before exams. 10/ something about my sister and her exams 11/ and then it goes on, non-stop. and today my mum was damn pissed cos the rice cooker decides to stop working. consequently, she ignored everything i said on the account of being busy. oh come on, can't you talk and do work at the same time? and then she was asking me about gpa and stuff. then next qn was "how come you lose to so many people in chinese?" wth. yeah i know my chinese is not good, since when was my chinese good? and yada yada yada yada. non-stop. and the only thing she is bothered about these days is how to get my sister to mug more. annoying bunch of people. and then there is still arts fest. "how come you must go for arts fest? it's not compulsory go for what, still must pay money" and then there were more annoying stuff said by her. okay shall stop complaining about my mum, well at least she doesnt see this. (and now she is screaming again) got back most of my papers this week, everything is just like what i expected. a reasonable gpa, not good though, all thanks to the languages :/ hmm, getting back chem and math tmr, should be fine. and now it's time to do china-myanmar relations
